The Mangaung Metro Municipality has cautioned residents in Botshabelo of discoloration that may be found in tap water.
According to the MMM spokesperson, Qondile Khedema, there is no need to boil the water before using, but if discoloration is present then residents are adviced to run the tap before using the water.
He said, “Chlorine levels have been confirmed to be effective based on recent water quality samples taken, there is no need to boil water before use. However, if discoloration is present, residents are advised to run the tap for a few minutes until the water clears before use.”
The sections that may be affected by the water discoloration in Botshabelo include, Section G, K, T and surrounding areas.
