Meloding police are looking for the suspect(s) involved in the murder of 17 year-old Thabo Ramaisa of Eureka Park, Meloding near Virginia.
On Thursday,28 November 2013, at about 20:15, Meloding police were called to a shooting incident at Eureka Park Meloding.
It is alleged on arrival, Constable Godfrey Khumalo of the Meloding SAPS community Service Centre (CSC) and his crew member found an unknown man lying face down on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head in the back of one of the yards in Makoko Drive.
Emergency Services were summoned to the scene and the victim was certified dead at the scene.
According to the owner of the yard, where the deceased was found, he was watching his television set when he heard screams, and immediately thereafter he heard gunshots being fired.
He further stated that when he went out to investigate he saw an unknown man lying on the ground with gunshots on his body and he alerted the police.
The deceased was later identified as Thabo Ramaisa by family members.
The motive of murdering 17 year-old Ramaisa is still unknown.
A case of murder was registered at the Meloding SAPS for further investigation.
No arrests have been made.
