MEC Makgoe to open five new schools in Motheo District

Free State Department of Education MEC, Tate Makgoe,

Free State Department of Education MEC, Tate Makgoe, will officially open five newly built schools in Tweespruit and Thaba Patchoa today, and in Ladybrand on Sunday 5 May 2019.
The department says in a statement by opening new schools it lives up to its promises that every learner deserves and must be placed in a properly built structure, as well as a dignified space of learning.
“Before this learners were attending in structures built with inferior material. These were demolished through the Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Delivery Initiative (ASIDI)
Thousands of learners will benefit from this ASIDI programme which seeks to ensure that all schools are built in brick and mortar,” says the department.
The opening of the schools will be witnessed by learners, education stakeholders and community members.
MEC Makgoe urges all to take care of the school infrastructure for future generations to come.  “Safeguard your schools and legacy,” says Makgoe.
