He made this announcement at this morning’s release of the 2012 matric results in Bloemfontein.
Makgoe was exceptionally impressed with four schools in Qwaqwa who were the first ever in the district to celebrate a hundred percent pass rate.
The class of 2012 achieved a pass rate of 73.9%.
Gauteng came out tops with 83.9%. Free State was third with 81.1%, North West fourth with 79.5% and the Northern Cape fifth with 74.6%.
