MC Fire (Zweli Mphumele), the popular Sesotho hip hop artist from Botshabelo, is back with a sizzling hot single titled Tlapa la Thella.
The single will surely elevate MC Fire’s popularity, not only in his hometown of Botshabelo but throughout the province. After the success of his hit, Lekanyane, which received massive airplay, MC Fire released a number of singles but they could not live up to the hype created by Lekanyane. Tlapa la thella, however, it has been well received by the public and is on the playlist of Mosupatsela FM in Botshabelo.
The award-winning artist said he expresses himself better in Sesotho and has been in love with the language since a young age.
“I’m quite astonished by the positive response the song has been getting both on social media and from the general public. I didn’t expect to get such an overwhelming response and it makes me happy as an artist seeing my work being appreciated by the masses.
I always strive to make music that people will love, sing along to and a song that will last. I always put 110% into my craft and I never take my audience lightly. Every song or beat I work on, I go through a number of times to make sure the output is world class quality,” said MC Fire.
Last year, MC Fire was part of the Macufe hip-hop show where he showcased his rap skills to Free Staters and tourists.
Tlapa la thella has been downloaded over 400 times on DataFileHost through a link available on his facebook page, “Zweli MC Fire Mphumele”.
Last year he released his debut album, Current Affairs. A music video for the song is in the pipeline and will debut on YouTube soon. MC Fire can be contacted on 073-212-2606.
