A member of the mayoral committee, Cllr Ntombi Nhlapo, led an oversight visit to the water project that is currently being implemented in Soutpan.
As part of the community’s mandate they deemed it fit to physically visit the project site to assist and make informed inputs to the council.
“Cllr Nhlapo said the site visits are an important part of the committee’s duties because they allow them to see real progress on the ground,” read the MMM Facebook post.
“The project has created employment opportunities for the locals, but most importantly, it is going to address water problems in the area,” said Olebogeng Mojaki, a general manager at the MMM.
