Mayor joins Motorcycle Bible Run on Naval Hill

Executive Mayor of the Mangaung Metro, Olly Mlamleli, joined bikers on Naval Hill for a Bikers Bible Run.

A group of approximately 400 Bloemfontein bikers gathered for the 6th annual Bible Run on Sunday 19 August 2018.
The project was headed by the Bible Society of South Africa and the gathering was organised by locals. One of the organisers, Melus Bantjes, explained the purpose of the annual gathering that involves motorcycles: “It is a programme that makes use of motorcycles to distribute Bibles. The people meet at a specific point to ride to Naval Hill.”
This year the Executive Mayor of the Mangaung Metro Municipality, Cllr Olly Mlamleli, joined the group on Naval Hill and talked to them about the upcoming Mangaung Rose Festival and various other topics regarding the happenings in the city. The bikers gave the mayor a Bible and prayed for her and the city. They then proceeded to the Bikers’ Church where donations for Bibles were accepted (people could also buy a Bible to donate it back). Biker and presenter of the motoring and biker programme, “Woema” Theunis Nel, was a guest speaker at the church. – Molebogeng Malebo
