#Matric2019: Tate Makgoe wishes 700 000 matrics good luck

Free State Education MEC Dr Tate Makgoe.
Free State Education Tate Makgoe has wished 700 000 matric learners good luck before commencing with examinations today.

He said this during a Parliamentary sitting in the Free State Provincial Legislature in Bloemfontein, where MPLs gathered to debate a motion by the EFF to remove colonial symbols on the UFS main campus and at the Legislature’s Fourth Raadsaal.

Makgoe said he was excited for the 36 500 Free State matric learners who will be writing English today.

He further reflected on load-shedding that affected learners who were writing the first leg of their final exams last week.

Makgoe said only a few learners were affected in the Free State, and those learners will be given a chance to re-write.
