Matsemela said in instances where irregularities such as acts of dishonesty by some students had been reported, appropriate measures had been taken.
“We are happy and satisfied by the smooth running of the examination in the province so far,” she said.
“Generally there are no hiccups in all the centres of our province. We would like to thank all stakeholders for their continued support to learners during this examination period.”
Matsemela and a team of officials from the council for quality assurance in education and training, Umalusi, the national department of basic education, the provincial education department and those from districts and sub-districts visited Kgalatlhowe Secondary School in Motlhabe Village near Moruleng outside Rustenburg to monitor exams.
Matric results for the class of 2019 will be released in Rustenburg on January 8.
