Marumo Gallants FC has confirmed that the club’s team bus was involved in a minor road incident on Sunday (2/11) evening in Durban. The accident occurred while the team was travelling from the stadium to their hotel after their Betway Premiership fixture against Golden Arrows.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported among players or staff.
According to the teams’s spokesperson, Sello Nduna, the incident was part of a three-car pile-up, which caused a private vehicle to be pushed forward and lightly bump the rear of the team bus.
“We are thankful that all our players and staff are safe. The incident was minor, and we appreciate the prompt response from local authorities and emergency services who ensured everyone’s safety,” the club’s management said.
The team is expected to remain in Durban for the duration of the week to continue with preparations for their upcoming fixtures.
