Hertzogville police are searching for seven armed suspects after they have robbed farm workers at Dankieskuil farm on Tuesday.

Police reported that at about 06:30 three farm workers were at work on the farm when seven men approached the farm house, overpowered them and pointed handguns at them.

“A window was used to gain entrance to the farm house and a 9-mm Parabellum firearm was taken from the safe. Two of the farm workers were tied up with their shoe laces and the third one managed to run away. The suspects then fled from the scene on foot,” said police spokesperson, Stephen Thakeng.

Farm owner, Leonard Roberts (45), was not at home when the robbery took place. A case of armed robbery was registered for further investigation.
