Manhunt launched after gang rape of teen girl

A manhunt has been launched after a 16-year-old girl had allegedly been gang raped by two suspects in an open field at Seemeeu Park in Welkom on 15 September 2020.

According to the office of the provincial commissioner in the Free State, the victim was at a local premises where chicken is sold, waiting for sister and her fiancée, when she was accosted by three suspects who covered her eyes and forced her into a gold/silver Toyota.
