Mangaung residents are to take note of the refuse collection schedule that will be followed by the Manguang Metropolitan Municipality, except on public holidays when residents will be informed when to take out their refuse.
“Residents are advised to put out their refuse bags at 07h00 in the morning on the allocated collection day. Residents are further informed that it is a violation of the integrated waste management by-laws to put out refuse bags on days other than the scheduled refuse collection days,” urged the MMM in a statement.
The metro furthermore urged locals to work with the municipality to combat illegal dumping within the city.
“Illegal dumping is not only violation of by-laws but it is a health hazard in our communities,” concluded the metro.
