The Mangaung Metro’s City Manager (CM), Sello More, hosted an introductory meeting with employees from the Bloemfontein region today.
According to the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality (MMM), the purpose of the meeting was to bring workers on board as the City Manager takes on the task of getting the city’s affairs in order.
“When I agreed to take this task, I knew it was going to be a difficult one. However, I also knew that Mangaung, on aggregate, has some of the best available skills in the country … we have all the necessary skills to run this City,” the CM said.
He furthermore highlighted that “the task of management and the head of an institution is to craft a vision towards which we will all be working … We are going to redefine our business processes so that there is predictability. We are going to ensure that we have shorter turnaround times on everything, across all departments.”
Supportive wellness services to boost employee morale and performance will be made available, added the CM.
