Duane Petrus – A man is currently being questioned by the Virginia police in connection with the brutal murder of a 59-year-old woman in her home.
Joan Pieters’s naked corpse was discovered by her landlord and domestic worker at Highlands Court yesterday morning.
Post mortem results will indicate whether or not she was raped.
Police spokesperson, Harry Nagel, could at this stage not provide any details about the person that is being questioned.
He added that she was a widow and had an adopted son, but could not confirm whether or not he stayed with her.
Earlier media reports indicated that cellphones, bank cards and keys were also taken.
