OFM News reports that Eskom’s Stefanie Jansen van Rensburg says the scheduled power cuts in these two areas are part of the power utility’s maintenance plan. She says the maintenance work will be done at the Phuthaditjhaba Substation and Witsieshoek Transformer. The interruption of power will start on Thursday 15 October from 06h00 to 21h00.
“The electricity supply may be restored without warning at any time during the interruption period; therefore, all electrical installations must be treated as live and dangerous,” Jansen van Rensburg adds. The power utility has further apologised for any inconvenience that the interruption may cause.
