Makgoe wishes learners best of luck in mid-year exams

Free State Education MEC, Tate Makgoe wishes about 27 0000 grade 12 learners and those in lower grades sitting for their mid-year exams the best of luck.
Makgoe who has been re- appointed to continue as MEC for education is still confident that the province will still remain number one in the 2014 National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams.
Last year Free State obtained number one position in the country with a record of 87.4 % in the NSC exams.
Since his appointment as Education MEC in 2009 matric results have steadily improved from 69.4% to 87.4% in 2013 and now the province raised their target 90% pass rate.
The province achieved 70.7% in 2010, improved to 75.7% in 2011 and also scored 81.1% in 2012, scooping third position in the country.
“We are still on track to obtaining our 90 %pass rate and 40 % bachelors” says Makgoe.
