The Congress of the People in the Free State feels that today’s state of the province address was the worst speech that Premier Ace Magashule has ever presented during his five years term.

Cope leader Casca Mokitlane says the address was an election campaign ahead of this year’s general elections in May. He says the speech was based on ANC’s national achievements since 1994.

He was speaking after the event that was held at the University of the Free State South campus in Bloemfontein. He says Magashule should have given out a three-year report on what he promised to do. Mokitlane was amazed on how the premier targeted Cope president Mosioua Lekota.

“They isolate him as an individual and accuse Lekota of having built houses, which in terms of their standards now are not compatible. When it suits them, the ANC decides to isolate an individual but when a person says Zuma is a non-starter, they disagree and say he works within a collective. I have never come across such hypocrisy,” he says.
