Bloemfontein. – The DA in the Free State today, in reaction to Premier Ace Magashule’s State of the Province Address, says while government is failing the people, it’s business and civil society that’s keeping the province afloat.

Leader of the opposition in the legislature, Roy Jankielsohn, says Magashule is merely a President Jacob mini-me. He says the premier proved once again that he’s unable to think outside the little box he’s trapped in.

He was adamant that the provincial government is failing in especially delivering services such as health care, decent education and infrastructure to its people.

"Our problem is that Premier Magashule speaks about government all the time but he’s stuck in that little box and he needs to think outside the box.

"It’s in fact civil society and our business community that is creating jobs for our people and that is paying the taxes for all these projects, overseas trips the government is involved in, it is them that’s keeping the province afloat, not Ace Magashule and his government," Jankielsohn said.
