#LoveLocal: Bloemfontein readers wish Courant many more years

Bloemfontein Courant spoke to a few locals during the birthday month of Courant to find out what they think about the role of the community paper. This is what they had to say:

Sizakhele Chabangu

Sizakhele Chabangu, a resident from Brandwag, said Bloemfontein Courant is very important and it helps the community as a whole. She said everybody in Bloemfontein knows they will get the news of what is happening in and around the city in the paper. “Happy 10th birthday, Courant”

Vicki Fourie

Courant, Courant jy‘s aan die brand, so in die kol en relevant; hoop ons sien nog baie meer, iets van alles elke keer,” sê Vicki Fourie van Bloemfontein

Meloney Shariff

Another local, Meloney Shariff, said that on behalf of the Heidedal Chess Foundation, she would like to wish Bloemfontein Courant a very happy birthday and may there be many more prosperous years. She said the newspaper is definitely serving its role in the community as the information gets to the people on time and is delivered to their doorsteps. “I personally feel that the newspaper is amazing because the community can always rely and count on the newspaper.”

Stefani Truter en Dylan Joubert

Stefani Truter en Dylan Joubert het gesê die rol van Bloemfontein Courant is om die gemeenskap in te lig en belangrike inligting te  met hul te deel.

Christa van Zyl

Christa van Zyl sê Bloemfontein Courant is ‘n wonderlike medium om mense in te lig oor gebeure in die gemeenskap. “Die artikel oor my pad met borskanker het tot gevolg gehad dat ‘n radiostasie Tanya Loots genader het vir ‘n onderhoud. Dit was vir my ‘n bewys dat Courant ‘n groot rol in die gemeenskap speel. “Geluk met jul verjaardag, mag julle van krag tot krag gaan. Ons sien uit na nog  duisende, en stap die pad saam met julle.”
