The Bloemfontein side shared the spoils against FC Hunters after playing to a disappointing 1-1 draw in their SAFA Second Division match played at the Clive Solomon Stadium in Heidedal on Wednesday.
“The problem we had was missing the chance and not staying consistent to what we know or have practiced,” a disappointed Loape told Courant Sport.
Thabo Moleko opened the scoring for CUT, but failed to convert a spot kick to give his side a two goal cushion.
“We missed a lot of opportunities. We should have buried the game in the first half because we had all the chances in the world to,” he added.
The visitors took a 1-0 lead into the half-time break, but only to have their joy short lived when the home side equalised in the second half to end the match deadlocked.
“At the end of the day, we struggle to stick to our game plan and style of play and turn to switch easily and we need to avoid that,” said Loape.
CUT host the struggling Real Hearts at the CUT Sports Grounds in their next match, Saturday, 31 May 2014, before concluding the season with a trip to Welkom to face FC Harmony at the Harmony Masimong Complex on Saturday, 14 June 2014.
“We are targeting six points from the two remaining matches. We want to end the season in a better position and be able to carry the momentum through to the next season,” concluded Loape.
