Kruitberg Primary out to defend title

LEE KHOTLELE

Bloemfontein – Kruitberg Primary will be looking to defend their title when they lock horns with Relebeletse Primary in the final of the Syrac under 13 primary schools league scheduled to take place on Monday, 1st of September 2014 at the Namibia Young Stars grounds.

Last year Kruitberg finished fourth in the overall standings at the national tournament and the school is looking to go even further this year. However, they need to go through the final first.

The two schools made the final following their impressive performances in the semifinals played at Grey College on Tuesday.

Kruitberg Primary have been one of the most consistent schools in the competition this year. Prior to their 5-0 semifinal win over Monyatsi, the team crushed Daluxolo of Rocklands 13-0 in the quarterfinals.

Kruitberg will be looking to continue with an impressive form when they face another tough and unpredictable Relebeletse School. Relebeletse beat Polokehong of Freedom Square 3-1 in the quarterfinals before crushing Bochabela 4-3 on penalties in the semifinals.

Apart from the title, the schools will also be fighting for the spot in the Motheo Regional finals to be played on Friday, 5th September 2014.

The Bloemfontein winner will compete alongside winners from Thaba Nchu, Botshabelo, Wepener and Tweespruit for a place in the provincial tournament to take place later this year.
