Koffiefontein police celebrate Women’s month


Koffiefontein Cluster Police celebrated Women`s Month by celebrating good health, service delivery and boosting the morale of police women who risk their lives to ensure safer communities during an event at the Koffiefontein Sports Grounds last week.

A soccer and netball tournament between four Cluster police stations (Koffiefontein, Pietersburg, Luckhoff and Jacobsdal) was held. Trophies and medals were given at the end of the games by sponsors of the event, Liberty Life.

The day started with a road show around Koffiefontein to entice to community to join the festivities. Another purpose of the day was to celebrate the retirement of Warrant Officer Seruwe who had dedicated 35 years of his life to serving the community of Koffiefontein with excellence and discipline.

The first prize in soccer went to Petrusburg, who beat Luckhoff by four goals to one in the finals. Koffiefontein were awarded the netball trophy after defeating Jacobsdaal in the finals.
