Kerdoni hosts hockey festival

Kerdoni Pizza and Pasta will host an exciting six-a-side hockey festival tomorrow at Eunice High School for charity.

While the hockey action on the field will take centre stage, it is the message of giving back to the community and promoting team building that will be most important. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to New Beginnings Charity.

Teams can consist of up to eight players. Six will play while the other two players will do duty as substitutes. There is also the requirement that a team should consist of a minimum of two ladies per team. No goalkeepers or short corners allowed.

Teams can dress up in a themed team uniform and also name their team. They will further compete in two categories, namely in the U.12 category and an open category (no age restrictions).

While the action on the field will heat up, there will also be entertainment in the form of the multi-talented rock band K2 Band ZA and an Indie-jump band, The Snowcones.

Teams will be able to register from 08:30 at Eunice.

New Beginnings is a non-profit orginisation (NPO) with a goal of providing hope and help to both people and pets in need. Their primary objective is to be the change in communities through various charity projects and community outreaches.
