Bloemfontein – Jim Fouché and Sentraal high Schools enjoyed a great sporting weekend at the fifth annual FNB Classic Clashes sport event that took place from Friday to Saturday, 16-17 May 2014 at Sentraal High School Sports Grounds.
The two-day sporting event, which promised nothing but a thrilling action, produced exactly that.
The action began on the Friday with Hockey.
The Hockey, rugby and Chess was dominated by JF, where Sentraal dominated the Netball and Tennis.
The event organiser, Gideon Goosen, told Courant Sport that it was a successful sporting event.
“I think it was overall a very good day. Everyone enjoyed the day and it was played in good spirit. We are looking forward to our next encounter,” Goosen said.
In Hockey, the u.14 category, the girls’ A teams of both schools shared the spoils after playing to a 2-all draw.

In Rugby, Jim Fouché under 19 teams won two of their three matches, with the hosts’ C team managing a victory.

In the u.16 category, Sentraal A team crushed Jim Fouché A team 29-8. However, the visitors went on to dominate in the u.15 category.
