How many people do we know who are exactly the same every day? No external influences will change the way they treat others. Whatever the situation they will always handle it with extreme calmness and with a gentle spirit. Nothing can ever change them.

We probably all nod our heads thinking it is impossible. Hebr 13:8 reminds us that Jesus Christ is always the same. Yesterday, today and forever.

Isn’t that just amazing? Suddenly we think back at all the times we felt God had distanced Himself from us. Then we realize it cannot be.

Jesus, The Messiah, is always the same. It is us who dwells from Him. Maybe we do this to protect ourselves. At times we struggle to come face to face with God because we feel that He won’t understand. Or maybe we are ashamed and feel guilty. How can we then be worthy of coming before Him who only wants what’s best for us?

Never forget that was the purpose of sending Jesus to the cross, so we can be released of guilt and condemnation. If we rest in this thought we will find it much easier to be content and live a life in His peace.
