JDI4 looks at the role of design and advertising

Some of the most creative minds in the design and advertising industry are making their way to Bloem next week to share their knowledge with local creatives at the annual JustDesignIt Symposium.

This year will see the fourth installment of the JustDesignIt Symposium taking place at the Civic Theatre. The symposium is a platform that showcases the latest trends in marketing, advertising, branding and design. It is aimed at designers, business owners and students alike. This year it promises to once again offer a wide range of interesting presentations from leaders in the design industry.

The theme of JDI4 is 4life and takes a look at the role design can play in creating a responsible approach to, as well as the impact it has on all aspects of life, from environmentally friendly design to creating awareness! Speakers will share their knowledge, insights and perspective on a variety of well known, famous and popular brands, marketing campaigns and much more… even taking a look at the latest trends and technology on offer.

The JustDesignIt Symposium will once again form an integral part of JDI4 over a two-day period (30 and 31 July), empowering and enlightening delegates once again with informative sessions.

Continuing the theme of 4life, the symposium was also expanded by introducing a day of workshops where delegates can register to get to know more with regards to technical matters in the industry, the latest trending software, photography, digital media and much more.

To facilitate the maximum impact and allow as many delegates to attend with limited time and busy schedules, delegates now have the option to register for each day individually.

Workshops can also be booked in advance, space will be limited.
Packages will be available for delegates wishing to attend the entire symposium, as well as group bookings.
Speakers are Gary Harwood, Andreas Hauke, Gaby de Abreu, Fred Felton, Timothy Webster, Emma Sadleir, Philip van der Walt, Jordan Wallace, Sonya Culverwell, Edward Vorster, Jeremy Nell, Pierre du Plessis, Derrick Kotze, Gus Silber and Dr Ricardo Peach.

Workshops will be led by Adele Cloete, Fred Felton and Kim Chulu Amina.
