Jackson Brainwave to the world

DJ and producer Jackson Brainwave expresses gratitude, stating that receiving recognition from Afro House pioneers is a milestone he never anticipated but deeply appreciates.

Sejake Jackson, famously known as Jackson Brainwave, is a digital sound engineer, DJ and producer who started his music journey in 2009.

Jackson says his love for music is what drove his musical pursuit. “The style of Afro House sound that I create comes naturally. I create what I feel and not what I think the audience wants to hear. I believe that’s what sets me apart,” he said.

The musician says he has achieved a lot of milestones throughout his career and he doesn’t plan on stopping anytime. “The milestones that I’m mostly fond of since the start of my journey are being able to travel to other African countries and performing DJ sets at major festivals in countries like Kenya, Mozambique, and so forth. Secondly, being recognised by my Afro House music icon, Boddhi Satva, and getting to work with him has to be one of the milestones that I never saw attaining,” Brainwave proudly mentioned.

Jackson concludes by requesting that his fans bear with him, as he is working on a few new projects.

“Currently, I’m working on a lot of new music releases and finally opening myself up to more collaborations. Hopefully, I will get to finish my debut album. And I also have numerous gigs outside of South Africa that are lined up this year,” he concluded.
