Bloemfontein – Toyota Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské said that it has been a frustrating Super Rugby season for the Bloemfontein-based side so far.
Drotské admitted that it had not been as easy one for his side due to host of disappointing results.
He blamed the team’s lack of concentration at crucial stages of the game as a reason for them not winning matches they look set to win.
“It’s been frustrating so far. We haven’t been outplayed more than once this whole season, but we’ve only won two games,” Drotské told Courant Sport.
The Cheetahs have managed only two wins from their 12 matches played thus far this season.
They are yet to win against a side from aboard as their two victories were clinched over South African sides, the Bulls and Stormers.
Last year after round 12, the Cheetahs were sixth on the combined log with 36 points.
In a change of fortune, they find themselves 14th and 4th on the combined log and South African conference respectively with 16 points.
It is a concern for the man at helm, who believes that his side has all the makings of a good team, but soft moments cost them big time.
“If you want to win in this league, you need to concentrate for 80 minutes without any soft moments,” Drotské recapped.
In round 14 of the competition, the Cheetahs play host to the Brumbies at the Free State on Saturday evening.
The Cheetahs most recent 23-16 loss against the Western Force was the side’s 9th defeat of the campaign.
Drotské says that the two tries they conceded came as result of soft moments within the Force’s 22, where the Cheetahs had the ball.
“The one was an intercept and the other one was when we did not kick the ball at the breakdown. It’s something we will have to fix.”
Saturday’s match in Bloemfontein kicks off at 19:10.
