Ignore message inciting violence – NW police

The North West police have urged residents to ignore a voice note making the rounds on social media and to not distribute it.

The voice note states that foreign nationals, especially Nigerians in Matlosana and the vicinity, will be attacked.

According to police spokesperson, Sabata Mokgwabone, the message is reckless and only provokes violence. Mokgwabone advises community members to work hand-in-hand with the police to expose and bring to book all those who are conspiring to commit criminal acts.

He also added that at this stage, the province have not experienced any such violence against foreign nationals.
