iClix hosts first gaming expo

iClix will be hosting its first ever Gaming Expo at Dr Böhmer Secondary School from 16 to 18 June. According to John Antunes, CEO and co-owner of iClix, the school’s facilities provide ample space to accommodate various activities including gaming arenas and exhibition areas.

“The expo is open to gamers of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re a casual gamer, a professional eSports player, or simply passionate about gaming, there will be something for everyone at the expo,” said Antunes. He added that this is a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from industry experts, and immerse yourself in the exciting world of gaming. “Visitors and gamers can expect a gaming expo that is dedicated to the gaming industry. This is where gaming enthusiasts, industry professionals, developers, gaming hardware manufacturers, and media partners come together to showcase and experience the latest and upcoming video games, technologies, and related products,” Antunes explained.

Here are some things Antunes said you can expect at the iClix Gaming Expo:

Exhibitor booths: Various companies, including game developers, hardware manufacturers, and accessory providers, will have booths set up to showcase their products and services.

eSports tournaments: Competitive gaming is a significant part of the expo. eSports teams and players will compete in high-stakes tournaments. Merchandise: Attendees can purchase gaming-related merchandise, collectibles, apparel, and other ‘swag’ at dedicated booths or from exhibitors.

Food and refreshments: Attendees can purchase delicious food, cold refreshments and coffee from the main food area. Interactive experiences: There will be racing simulators and virtual reality demonstrations as well as interactive game-themed attractions to engage and entertain attendees.

Community engagement: Attendees can meet like-minded individuals, share their passion for gaming, and participate in various community-driven activities. As mentioned above, the eSports tournament is one of the highlights of the expo. The Games that will be played competitively will be Counter Strike Global Offensive (Teams of 5), Defense of the Ancients 2 (Teams of 5), FIFA 2023 (1V1 format), Street Fighter 6 (1V1 format), F1 2023 (best time wins). “All the games have prize money up for grabs.
