Human trafficker sentenced

Mamoshebi Priscilla Morotoli (44) has been sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment for human trafficking.

She was arrested on 28 November 2019 by the Hawks in Welkom after she was suspected to have a child from Lesotho.

An identity parade was conducted and the biological mother of the child successfully identified Morotoli as the person who abducted her child.

According to police spokesperson, Christopher Singo, Morotoli appeared in court on several occasions, culminating in her conviction this past Wednesday.
