Free State Health MEC Benny Malakoane said that health care financing was the crux of the matter that was discussed at the Health Indaba. He explained that without adequate and proper health care financing the department wouldn’t be able to deliver any of their services.
Malakoane was speaking at the end of the two-day event in Bloemfontein on Tuesday.
“Financing of all our service packages remains at the core of our ability to render first class services that we would like to deliver to services. That is really the main issue, that is why we have deliberately put healthcare financing as an item for us to really discuss and hopefully try to solicit inputs all the invitees that were part of the Indaba today,” he said.
