Hartswater bakkie driver’s case postponed



The driver of the bakkie, which was involved in a crash in which 15 people were killed had his case postponed to February 23rd after appearing in the Hartswater Magistrate’s court today.

The driver was arrested after his bakkie collided with a mini-bus taxi on the N18 near Hartswater in the Northern Cape in September. 66-year-old Elias Buti Morebodi was released on R3000 bail and is facing 15 charges of culpable homicide.

The clerk of the court confirmed that the case has been postponed to allow for further investigations and post mortem reports.
