Kimberley. – Today the state called its second witness to the stand this morning in the trial against the minor accused of the Griekwastad triple murder.
Andre Mark McAnda is the commanding officer of the Police’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit and was called to Griekwastad on the night of the murders.
McAnda testified on various evidence that was collected when he arrived at the Griekwastad police station. These included swabs, hair samples, the murder weapons and clothes of the accused.
McAnda told the court a swab was taken of a smear suspected to be blood. While they were searching vehicle in front of the police station, he noticed a crowd gathering in front of the building.
Somehow, the swab taken earlier disappeared. McAnda’s testimony continues.
