The Bloemfontein SPCA alongside Virginia SPCA and NSPCA has made time to assist in the wake of the veld fires that spread in Boshoff, Soutpan, Dealsville, Brandfort, and Verkeerdevlei this past weekend.
According to the Bloemfontein SPCA, some have sustained severe burns, and some have died due to this devastating disaster.
The local SPCA took to social media on Saturday (26/08) afternoon to inform locals who have any information regarding any animal being injured or left in distress as a result of veld fires to contact their emergency line on 078-322-8332.
“Our team currently has boots on the ground and is working diligently to help all the animals in need,” the post read.
