Widely celebrated South African author of six business books, international speaker and five times winner of the Southern African Public Speaking Championships, Douglas Kruger, will be in Bloemfontein for two events on 25 April 2018.
Kruger helps organisations to innovate, break their own rules and disrupt industry norms, in order to position themselves as leading brands.
His first and main event will be a business breakfast where he will provide insight on how aspiring and current business owners can dominate their respective industries, moving from amateur to professional and industry expert in no time.
He will be hosted by upcoming events organiser and owner of Pink Lemon Event Design, Reneë Beck, whose specialty is business events.
Beck, who registered the company in 2006 but only began operating last year, says she had initially registered the company with high ambitions and later got cold feet when she realised she still needed more experience in events organising.
“I went on to work for several companies over the years and I met Douglas while I was working at Saica. He has always said that when I finally do launch my business, I should contact him and he’ll be ready to come and help me launch it, and here we are, many years later,” Beck says heartily.
She adds that she has chosen to focus on business events as she feels it is an industry that Bloemfontein needs, despite the complexities of the market here, as opposed to in other major cities.
Despite the challenges she is faced with, Beck is determined to make it and position herself as a leader in this industry.
She also adds that having faith in God, a supportive family and husband have gone a long way in giving her the confidence she needed to launch her business.
She brings ten years of experience in events and has worked with big names such as Vusi Thembekwayo as well as Douglas Kruger among many others. With her business breakfast, she promises a morning filled with insight, humour and a great ambiance.
