GEPF Roadshow to visit Bfn on Saturday

The Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF), through its national outreach campaign, will be visiting Bloemanda, Mangaung on Saturday, 2 March 2019.

The main purpose of this initiative is to interact with GEPF’s active members, pensioners and beneficiaries in order to inform and educate them about the Fund’s services, processes and benefits, such as funeral and unclaimed benefits. Members will also have their queries attended to on site and will be able to update their personal information.

The GEPF will also be using the event to raise awareness and educate members and pensioners about the newly introduced Child’s Pension which has replaced the previous Orphan’s Pension.

Furthermore, the campaign also intends to address the issue of financial brokers who are masquerading as GEPF employees and offer GEPF members services and products, while at the same time advising them to resign instead of retiring which leaves members worse off.

The event will take place at Tsoseletso High School (next to Motheo TVET College) from 10:00 until 16:00.
