Future of public health in FS looks bleak

The future of the public health in the Free State looks bleak.

This is according to the Public Servants Association’s(PSA) Gerhard Koorts, who says complaints of poor health services, over-spending and misuse of hospital machineries such as air buses have sprouted in the province over the past year.

According to the PSA local clinics, including Bainsvlei Local Clinic in Bloemfontein do not have painkillers and other medicines available. He says health services in the province will continue to struggle if its financial situation, managerial appointments and public services do not improve.
