Fun walk for dogs and their owners

The Doggy Fun Walk is an event designed to bring together the community of dog lovers for a memorable outing.

Dog owners are offered a social opportunity to enjoy quality time with their pets. The fun walk is one you and your dog can’t miss.

According to Frikkie Mostert from Elite Dogs, attendees can meet fellow dog enthusiasts, make new friends, and enjoy a day filled with fun and laughter, all while strengthening their relationship with their pets.

Mostert, who has been training dogs professionally since 1978, expressed that locals can expect an exciting day filled with fun and surprises. “As they stroll along the walk, they’ll have the chance to uncover hidden treasures, adding an element of adventure to the event. The fun dress-up competition, where both humans and dogs can showcase their creativity, promises to be a highlight. Participants can dress up in their most imaginative outfits and compete for fantastic prizes,” he said.

He added that walks offer significant mental stimulation for your pet. “Dogs encounter various sights, sounds, and smells during their walks, which keeps their minds engaged and reduces boredom. Walking your dog also strengthens the bond between you and your pet,” he explained.

The Doggy Fun Walk takes place on 21 July. It starts from 10:00 to 11:00 at Inibos in Langenhovenpark. The available routes are 2km, 4km and 5km. Entry to the walk is R40 per person and one dog per person.

“We look forward to seeing familiar and new faces at this event, and hope to start a new tradition of fun doggy events around Bloemfontein. Remember you can join our Dog Training Club: Elite Dogs/Honde Bloemfontein every Sunday,” he concluded.
