Police in Bothaville has requested the assistance of the community to help locate Sammy Mokhwamme who is believed will be of assistance in an ongoing investigation.
The investigation is of a rape case that took place on 30 August 2020 in Kgotsong. On the day of the incident, a 36-year-old female was allegedly assaulted and raped for three consecutive days by her alleged boyfriend at his place of residence. This is according to police spokesperson, Brigadier Motantsi Makhele, who said that the victim and the suspect had an alleged argument which led to the suspect assaulting her. “The incident went on for three consecutive days. She was able to escape by telling him she was going to buy food for her grandfather,” said Makhele.
Detective/Sergeant Alice Ntholi has been assigned to the case and managed to obtain an identikit as the victim could not provide a picture of the suspect. “The identikit described the suspect as a black South African male, between the ages of 25 and 30 years, Xhosa speaking, a dark complexion, dark and small eyes, two missing upper front teeth, a beard, and shaven hair. The suspect has a medium body build with a height of about 1.9 meters. He was wearing a blue and yellow jersey and blue jeans,” said Makhele.
