The Free State Department of Education says the National Senior Certificate supplementary examinations started off well today with more than 3000 candidates enrolled in the province.

Departmental spokesperson, Howard Ndaba, says they urge learners who are registered to complete these exams to enhance their chances of obtaining an NSC qualification.

He adds that the target in 2017 for the matric pass rate is set at 95 percent, and supplementary exams are set to continue until the end of March.
