FS school closed due to teachers’ unpaid allowances

Teachers contesting unpaid transport allowances have cost children on farms a place to learn.

The gates of Tidor Primary School in Bothaville, Free State, have not reopened after the September School holidays, according to FF Plus, Devar Smit.

According to Smit, the Free State Department of Education’s inability to fulfill their duties plays a role in the teachers not returning to the school.

Smit says they are concerned about the future of those learners who are not going to school.
