FS Premier embraced Mandela Day activities

REFILWE MEKOA

There are only eight workers responsible for cleaning Pelonomi Hospital’s yard, in Bloemfontein.

This is what Free State Premier Ace Magashule discovered during his Mandela Day commemoration on Friday. He explained that Pelonomi’s yard is too big and it needed more workers. Magashule expressed his gratitude on how the day unfolded.

“Everybody has responded positively to the call of the President Jacob Zuma that we should embrace Mandela Day during the state of the nation. People are cleaning all over, the mayor of Mangaung as well as other mayors are all over the Free State putting their hand on. Governmental officials and residents went out in numbers to assist, I’m very happy that everyone did their part,” he said.

Magashule highlighted that it is important for every individual to take a moment and give back to the community. Minister of Small Business Development, Lindiwe Zulu, Mangaung Metropolitan Mayor Thabo Manyoni, the media, andnational artists were part of the cleaning campaign in Pelonomi.
