FS Premier appeals to officials to engage with communities

The Free State’s Premier MaQueen Letsoha-Mathae visited Ward 7, Phelindaba, in the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality to inspect the state of roads in the area.

According to the Free State Provincial Government, this visit was also a fulfilment of the commitment made during election campaign following complaints from community members about the state of the roads.

Letsoha-Mathae instructed the yellow fleet from the Department of Community Safety, Roads and Transport to be brought to the area to scrape the roads as they are not up to par.

“We have always maintained that as leaders, we must not be confined to our offices, but rather to actively visit and engage our people to get a true appreciation of issues affecting them. We have also appealed to our officials to render services to the people without fist waiting for the Premier or a Member of the Executive Council to give a directive,” said Premier Letsoha-Mathae.
