FS Police arrest a foreign national in possession of Tick worth over R100 000 thousand

The Free State police have on Friday arrested a foreign national for being possession of Tick worth over R100 000.00 thousand

According to the provincial police spokesperson Maselela Langa, the 36-year-old old Nigerian man was arrested on the N6 road near Tierpoort.

Langa states that the man alleged that he has been hitchhiking from Gauteng and was travelling to East London in the Eastern Cape Province.

“The man was arrested with Tick worth R111 200 thousand. The police were busy with their normal stop and search and they spotted a white vehicle, they stopped and requested to search the car. While they were busy searching, they spotted a black bag stashed with hair creams. When they opened the hair cream containers, they found tick wrapped inside plastic bags. The suspect has been detained at the Tierpoort Police Station,” says Langa.

The suspect will appear at the Tierpoort Magistrate Court on Monday.
