The South African Local Government Association (SALGA) says performances of Free State municipalities have improved.
SALGA’s acting Provincial Executive Officer Zwe Ndlala says 24 local municipalities have improved on financial management, electricity and provision of water and sanitation. Ndlala says the conference that will be held on Monday in Bloemfontein will be the highest decision making structure between provincial conferences.
He says they will be reflecting performances of municipalities from the previous years.
“I would want our municipalities to influence our agenda in terms of our panned activities of going forward. As we engage with them, we are expecting them to criticize us and they should also come up with further forms of intervention that they require from us,” says Ndlala.
