ANC in the Free State hopes matrics 2014 will maintain the top position that was previously set by last year’s matrics.
ANC’s provincial general secretary William Bulwane said with substantial support from their families and government, they believe that this year’s matrics will once again hold number one spot in the country. The Free State scooped the 2013 matric pass rate top spot with 87.4%. Matrics have started their national senior certificate examinations, their writing English on Monday.
Bulwane said parents should keep encouraging their children to do well.
“We have seen that we have got the capacity and children who are hard workers. They have shown us that they can work but we say to the 2014 matrics they should do more and reach a 90% target,” he said.
