FS Education urges Matrics to be cautious as exams end

The Free State Department of Education urges matriculants to be cautious as they complete the 2017 matric final exams and head to the festive season.

The National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams will be concluded this afternoon with a three-hour Design paper. The Department’s MEC, Tate Makgoe, says the province has delivered credible exams and no major incidents were reported. He says the department took all precautionary measures to ensure no irregularities occurred and is confident the province will obtain a high matric pass rate.

Overall, approximately 32 448 candidates were registered for the National Senior Certificate across the province.

Makgoe says they are hopeful the province will still remain in the number one position countrywide.

He further went on social media platforms and thanked all the candidates for their participation, parents, and communities for support throughout this year’s NSC exams.
