The Free State Department of Education says it is confident the province will once again claim the number one position in terms of matric results.
This, as over 30 200 grade 12 learners in the province sit for trial exams. MEC Tate Makgoe this morning told learners at Heatherdale and Petunia schools in Bloemfontein to pull up their socks as the country nears the end of the year exams.
Learners at these two schools joined many others who sat for Mathematics Paper 1, Mathematical Literacy Paper 1 and Technical Mathematics Paper 1. These preliminary exams are set to continue until September 19.
The Department’s Chief Education Specialist, Molefi Lebajoa, reiterated that they have put a great effort in the administration and management of the National Senior Certificate exams and are hopeful that it will yield favourable results.
